Cancelled Volunteer Opportunity - Hamilton ON (CWoR Booth @ Conference)

Seeking Pilot and Non-Pilot Volunteers!

The Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians has invited CWoR to host a booth at their conference in Hamilton ON from February 29-March 2.

We are looking for 2 people, pilots or non-pilots all are welcome to take part in this event and represent The Canadian Wings of Rescue. 

Pilots who choose to fly-in are eligible to claim the trip as an in-kind donation as usual for animal rescue flights. Volunteers traveling by ground can be reimbursed or issued a receipt for donation in kind.  Accommodations & extra expenses for food for the duration of event will be covered by Canadian Wings of Rescue (excluding meals already provided in the conference passes which include two hot breakfasts, 2 lunches & networking events)

There is also a kick-off event Thursday evening, a networking social event on Friday and yoga sessions on Friday and Saturday morning that can be joined if interested. The exhibition set-up consists of a 10 x 10 booth with 1 table, 2 chairs, a vertical CWoR banner, table runner, some merchandise and freebies to hand out.

What is required:

-Load in & Set-up: Thursday February 29, 2024 between 10:00-22:00

-Career show/conference hours: 

Friday March 1, 2024 09:00-17:00

Saturday March 2, 2024 07:30-13:00

-Take down & Load out: Saturday March 2, 2024 17:00-22:00 (time for load out subject to change)

Our volunteers will be the face and voice of CWoR. You will be networking with veterinary professionals about what CWoR stands for, explain our model, share our stories and spread the word that we are always looking for volunteers, rescues & pilots to get involved!
