Another rescue flight, another 7 lives saved…and we’re not slowing down.
Shortly after our recent 19-cat (!) transport, we were back in the skies helping 7 more cats on their journey.
This time, it was a relay rescue with pilots @Bradreid_btc and Walter teaming up to fly these northern cats from Fort St. John to the Vancouver area.
Brad flew leg one to @YLWKelowna, where he met Walter who took over for leg two.
These two volunteer pilots had to work together across long distances to make this happen. It wasn’t easy, but they were committed!
Huge thanks to our rescue partners, @NP_ForgottenFelinesSociety, and @KatiesPlaceShelter for trusting us with your precious cargo. The coordination, care, and compassion that go into every transport are immense, and it’s always worth it.

When our friends at @BPRescue and @NP_ForgottenFelinesSociety reached out about an urgent need in northern BC, pilot Jonathan didn’t hesitate. He took to the skies to transport 19 cats in 8 crates on board his aircraft!
These cats were rescued from a remote community where no local resources were available. Without this flight, they wouldn’t have had a chance at forever homes.
There is an urgent need for cat foster homes and adopters across the country.
👉 Consider fostering a cat and especially if you are in the Victoria, BC area, contact Broken Promises!
👉 Adopt — don’t shop — and give a rescued cat a second chance.

Recently, Canadian Wings of Rescue was called upon by @TheOwlFoundation to assist with a critically injured bald eagle, found by community members near Moosonee, Ontario.
The eagle, named Migaso, meaning “eagle” in Cree, was discovered in distress and needed urgent medical attention. Knowing the situation was critical, volunteer pilot @ClayBerndt stepped forward, taking off the very next morning to bring Migaso to the Foundation for emergency care.
Tragically, despite every effort, Migaso passed away while Clay was en route.
While these moments are heartbreaking, we believe it’s important to honour every effort — even when the outcome isn’t what we hoped for. To Randy, Clay, Annick, Brian, Horace, and everyone who came together to help — thank you.
Migaso was treated with dignity and urgency, and that matters deeply.

Just a year ago, an adorable mixed malamute by the name of Poplar from northern Saskatchewan was rescued along with 6 other pups in search of their forever home. Now going by Finley, look at him all grown up while keeping that big smile on his face!
Finley found his perfect adopted match with Dani, and we couldn`t be more thankful that he`s living his best life as happy as ever - whether he was a small pup then or the big expressive boy he is now! 🐾
