Our aim is to provide animal welfare organizations yourself the ready access to regional air transport services free of cost. Using our Transport Request form on the website, submit the necessary information to our Operations Team. This form goes to our Intake Officer who ensures we have all the information we need, and will coordinate with you if anything else is required.
You are assigned a Transport Coordinator from our side who is responsible for all the logistics of the flight. They will promptly make an outreach to our member pilots to identify any volunteers able to execute your requested transport.
Once a pilot (or multiple pilots) is identified, a WhatsApp chat is created of all the relevant parties. Here is where we will identify when the flight will take place, which airports we will be flying to/from, who will be there for pick up and drop off, how we can ensure safety of the animal in flight, and any other pertinent details.
It is finally the day of the flight! We will be in constant contact over the WhatsApp chat to communicate details, updates and any changes to the plan. Our main priority this day is the safety of the pilots and animals!
The following are four videos to provide you with the details on what it means to fly with the Canadian Wings of Rescue. We highly recommend you view the videos prior to requesting your first flight and refer to them as needed in the future.
