In general, we fly within Canadian borders. Most of our volunteer general aviation pilots are based in the more populated regions of the country (example: in Ontario, our volunteer pilots are concentrated in the southern portion of the province - GTA, Ottawa, southwestern Ontario).
Volunteer pilots use their personal aircraft for these transports. Most have a limited range (somewhere between 500 - 800 kms one-way) and limited capacity (some of smaller planes can only hold a small dog of under 30 lbs., other planes might be able to hold 2 dogs weighing about 50 lbs each).
If you are not sure that we are able to service a destination or origin or rescue flight, we encourage you to still fill out a transport request form and one of our coordinators will be in touch. Any further questions can be forwarded to info@canadianwingsofrescue.ca!
