I encourage all pilots who have experience in flying rescue flights to share any tips and suggestions with others here.
I've flown one animal rescue flight for a different organization, and I was pleasantly surprised just how excited the people at both the pickup and dropoff airports were when they found out what I was doing and what was in that big plastic bin that my contact handed over to me. Faces lit up, and everyone wanted a photo with the little guy. It was a great reminder of how valuable what we're doing is, whether flying pets or wild animals. Can't wait to start flying some of these precious pets around!
I just recently did a flight from CEA3 (Olds/Didsbury) to CYXE (Saskatoon) it appeared to me the easy part was flying my passengers, what appeared to be the hard work was that done by the organizing group, they all did a great jobs!!!
