At Canadian Wings of Rescue, we connect volunteer pilots who believe in public benefit flying with rescues and wildlife organizations who need help moving animals safely — and this was a perfect example.
Originally transported by volunteer pilot @ClayBerndt to our partners at @TheOwlFoundation for specialized care, this incredible bird was ready for her next chapter.
A second volunteer pilot, Gerd W, then helped complete the journey, returning her to her home habitat in Kingston, ON for release back into the wild.
Her release was nothing short of beautiful.

Pilot @Yaseen.Elzoghbi completed his first transport with Canadian Wings of Rescue, alongside Martini on her flight to a second chance.
The ask from our partner, @calgaryanimalrescue was simple, help Martini make it home.
With a friend @dr3amdog joining Yaseen as crew, and now stepping up as a volunteer pilot himself, this is how our community grows.
One flight and a special first!

The ask from our partner, @calgaryanimalrescue was simple, help Martini make it home.

Lady, a 2-year-old pitbull, was found wandering alone and taken in by the @KWSPHumaneSociety. Due to provincial regulations around pitbulls in Ontario, they weren’t able to support her long-term so they reached out to @SPCALaurentides.Labelle to see if they could give her a second chance.
That’s where our incredible network stepped in. Our volunteer pilot @Charles.Morin.Charron and crew member @Nasandratra_aina made this life-changing journey possible.
In a journey spanning 1,500+ miles and over 6 hours in the air, Lady made her way to Quebec, where she now has the opportunity to find the loving home she deserves.
This mission was made possible by a passionate community of animal lovers and aviation supporters who came together to help. A special thank you to @Mathieu.Aviation and Vision Pro Performance Air Club, who generously offered an aircraft free of charge for the flight. We can`t thank you enough.

We’re so happy to report that, @ncglcanada has shared Bailey, now Rinsewind, has found his forever home.

A huge thank you to our volunteer pilot, @Dr.Campbell.Vet.Dentist, and the dedicated team behind the scenes who helped make this journey possible.
NCGL shares that Rinsewind is settling in beautifully: curious about everything, incredibly gentle, and very treat-motivated. Walks are quickly becoming his favourite part of the day, and he’s decided blankets aren’t just allowed on the couch, they’re his throne.
Stories like this are only possible because of the fosters, rescue partners, and volunteers, including pilots like Robert, who give their time, skills, and resources to help animals get the second chances they deserve.

This time…an orphaned baby owl.
Found alone in the Sudbury, ON area back in 2024, this tiny raptor needed specialized care quickly.
Our volunteer network sprang into action and organized a flight the very next day to get the little one safely to the experts at @theowlfoundation
With their help, this young owl had the chance to grow stronger.
A huge thank you to volunteer pilot Greg C. for making the mission possible, and to our long-time partners at The Owl Foundation for giving injured and orphaned owls a second chance.
