The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) in Ontario have contacted us for assistance.
Posting on behalf of MNRF for transport from Northern Ontario (Timmins or Sudbury - see remarks) to St. Catharines ON (The Owl Foundation)
Passenger: 1 Wildlife
Type of animal: Bald Eagle
Weight: approx. 1.5kg (3lbs)
Age: unknown
Sex: unknown
Vaccination status: N/A
Transport Carrier/Crate etc.: Will be provided (dimensions to be provided)
Special Handling: Pilot assigned may receive special handling instructions from the Wildlife Rescue or MNRF
Transport Coordinator Remarks:
The MNRF is working to get an injured Bald Eagle relocated from Peawanuck ON in the Far North District to specialized care in southern Ontario for rehabilitation. The eagle will be arriving into (CYTS) Timmins on Sunday Oct 13 (time is being verified). It is likely the eagle will be sent to a temporary centre in Sudbury to be further stabilized and await our CWoR flight for transport asap direct to The Owl Foundation at (CYSN) St. Catharines ON
Alternatively the eagle could be flown direct CYSB - CYSN but only if weather, timing and logistics were favourable
Note that we are still working on receiving and confirming more details

I can do this flight. Either Timmins or Sudbury works.

I may be able to do this trip (YTS/YSB are both okay), depending on the day required.

@greg.campbell... we will follow-up asap as primary and @clay.berndt we will keep you posted as contingency if Greg has any issues or depending on dates available etc.
At this time MNRF cannot confirm details of the flight they are arranging from (CYPO) coastal Peawanuk to CYTS other than it is not available until Sunday - as soon as we learn more I will update.
