Golden smiles, golden hearts and one exciting journey!
After a stay with a loving foster family in northern Ontario, these golden retriever pups, Max and Maple, were ready for their next step toward adoption.
When @GoldenRescueCanada reached out to us, we did what we always do: put the call out to our network of volunteer pilots.
That`s when pilot @Kai.Salvini. stepped up to get these two safely to southern Ontario, where we`re certain, a bright future awaits. Kai monitored challenging weather over several days until conditions were safe for lift off!
This is rescue in motion. And it only happens thanks to the dedication of fosters, volunteers, pilots, and donors who come together for animals like Max and Maple.

We’re grateful to every one of our volunteer pilots, past and present, who make lifesaving animal transports possible.
Animals like Zara, a rescued basset hound, got a second chance thanks to pilots like @dr.campbell.vet.dentist, who donate their time and skills to help animals in need.
While our pilots volunteer their aircraft and time, transports may still come with costs, due to things like unexpected weather delays or landing fees. Your donations help keep dogs, cats, owls, falcons, and even a wolf (really!) safely in the air with Canadian Wings of Rescue.
If you’d like to support the animals, and the volunteers who go the distance for them, click the link in our bio to donate! ✈️

Freya, a stunning husky mix, has made her way to a new foster family thanks to pilot @BradReid_BTC, @WetNosesRescue and CWoR Transport Coordinator, @Bailey.Fenton.5294!
Fosters play a vital role in helping a pet transition into a forever home. Hoping to find her new adoptive family, Freya has made a pitstop at her second foster home in Cranbrook, BC.
Thankfully, Freya was rescued from a dangerous situation. Up until recently, her days and nights were spent chained up and starved while also trying to care for her puppies. Thanks to Wet Noses, her days are now filled with lots of treats, playing and snuggles.
We’re so proud of this community who give animals the kindness and respect they deserve.
If you can donate to our cause please do! We appreciate any donation, big or small and each dollar goes to helping us help animals - big and small!

🦉 Prepare for an inspiring journey with an incredible wildlife rescue story! We have an amazing tale of teamwork and hope to share!
Meet these three gorgeous Great Horned Owl nestlings who recently embarked on a significant adventure. After a difficult beginning — experiencing injuries and becoming orphaned due to nest incidents — they found vital help and exceptional care at the @wildbirdcarecentre. They progressed from vulnerable hatchlings to strong, developing young owls!
The next vital stage in their journey involves learning crucial "owl skills" under the guidance of foster parents! This is where Canadian Wings of Rescue was honoured to step in. We had the privilege of flying these three remarkable birds to their temporary new home at @theowlfoundation where they will continue their rehabilitation and prepare for their eventual return to the freedom of the wild.
A huge thank you to our skilled pilot, Gerd W., for providing a secure and comfortable first flight for these owlets! This story truly demonstrates the power of collaboration in wildlife conservation. We`re excited to follow their progress and look forward to the day they soar back into their forest home!
