Was there a "flight needed" request for this flight? I must have missed it.

@alfio.ferrara

Hi and thank you so much for monitoring for our requests and needs.  You did not miss the original *new* flight needed posting which is our default and standard process for any new animal rescue flight where we have a need and no pilot/aircraft, so I am happy to explain and appreciate your understanding.

In the case of The Owl Foundation (TOF) the CWoR has partnered with them to add more capacity to assist with owl/raptor rescue flights when needed.  However, we are following a protocol which respects a pre-existing arrangement for pilots whom they have a long-standing and ongoing relationship with.  This is viewed as a win-win (and win for birds) as sometimes their transports are quite unique and can benefit from an experienced handler with existing networks at release locations etc.  However, all have also agreed it is beneficial to slowly build more capacity and extend opportunities when and if they arise and as such CWoR has decided to now initially post TOF "Assigned" as the default but we will subsequently move any outstanding need or urgency to *NEW* flights needed.

Again thank you for this question and opportunity to clarify the 'assignment' and please continue to look for any *New* flights needed as they are posted.

@gerd.wengler   THANK YOU Gerd!  Each and every flight you make on behalf of an Animal Rescue and their team. You have changed the future for this little hawk and on their behalf, we can never thank you enough.

If you have not already done so - please remember to complete the online post transport pilot form.
